Built for evaporative cooling systems

About Upton Tanks

Upton Tanks

Our story

Upton Tanks, Inc was built around a simple idea: evaporative cooling systems work better when the sump is designed like the rest of the equipment, not treated like an afterthought. From our shop in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, we’ve focused on manufacturing centralized indoor sumps that address the real issues operators deal with, freeze protection concerns, air in the water, and the ongoing costs of extra controls and patchwork fixes.

Over time, we’ve learned where problems show up first in the field and how to build around them. That’s why our tanks are made from carbon steel or stainless steel plate, fully welded and structurally reinforced, and why every tank is leak-tested before any interior or exterior coating goes on.

Why customers choose Upton Tanks

When you order a sump tank, you’re not just buying steel. You’re trying to protect uptime, control costs, and avoid winter surprises. Customers come to Upton Tanks, Inc because we manufacture purpose-built centralized indoor sumps with consistent construction, fully welded and reinforced, and a leak-test process that’s done before coating. The result is a sump system that helps reduce the need for heaters and controls, improves pump efficiency by reducing aeration, and simplifies the day-to-day maintenance burden.
